Downtown Seen April 2016: NBS’ Annual Fundraiser

On March 4 Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS) held its annual fundraiser at The Carlu on Yonge at College. The 57-year-old school on Jarvis St. attracts  students from across Canada and around the world. Located in the Garden District the NSB is the only ballet academy in North America to provide elite dance training, academic instruction and residential care on the same campus. Through its Sharing Dance program the NBS provides public schools with dance activity for children. It also helps seniors, including those with dementia or Parkison’s disease, with activity to improve their health and quality of life.
