Downtown Seen April 2016: Dixonlicious

Laura Dittmann – On March 30, Dixon Hall Hosted Dixonlicious, a culinary evening in support of vital food programs in Toronto.

Dixon Hall Neighbourhood Services serves more than 200,000 nutritious meals across over seven programs to children at camp, frail and isolated seniors, adults with disabilities and homeless men and women.

Proceeds from Dixonlicious will benefit Meals on Wheels, summer camps, homeless shelter programs, Out of the Cold, youth centre programs, Alzheimer day program, HIV/AIDS programs and more.

In a statement issued on their Facebook Dixon Hall staff reported: “Our most heartfelt gratitude goes to everyone who supported Dixonlicious.  We are pleased to announce that thanks to your generosity, we raised enough funds to be able to serve more than 20,000 healthy meals to those who rely on us.”
