The Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Clubs, 101 Spruce St. and 68A Claremont Ave., held their Annual General Meeting on June 27.

Ian Edward, executive director, hosted the evening with dinner for the 100 guests, including many members and their families.

It was a heart warming evening of recognition and business woven between presentations for: Crime Prevention Presentation, Junior and Senior Dance Presentation, Junior and Senior Public Speaking Finalists, Can Tech Digital Arts Contest recipients, Future Shop Scholarship recipient, Volunteer Recognition Award and Youth of the Year Award.

All of this recognition was woven between the Presidents Report, Treasurers Report, Election of the 2006-2007 Board of Directors. Who said that Annual General Meetings were stuffy!!

Elizabeth Zahari retired as president of the board after ten years of dedicated service to the club. Donna Walwyn, president, Chris Dunlop, vice president, Fiona O”Connell, treasurer, and Deany Peters, secretary, are the 2006 slate of directors, together with 12 other community minded individuals.
