Bruce Bell hauled in to 51 div headquarters for history work

The Bulletin’s history columist Bruce Bell has been bestowed the title “Honourary Historian of 51 Division’s Heritage Building” by Toronto Police Services for his work as a historian in the St Lawrence neighbourhood.

The former Consumers’ Gas purifying house at Parliament and Front Streets first built in 1898 was remodeled into the Police Headquaters for 51 Division in 2003.
