Trinity-Spadina condo residents’ association to fight for owners’ rights

Trinity-Spadina MPP Rosario Marchese hosted the founding meeting of the Trinity-Spadina Condo Residents Association at the Harbourfront Community Centre on April 22.

“We have over 30,000 condo residents in our riding and that number is on the rise,” Marchese notes on his constituency site. “With the number of educated and experienced professionals living in condos, there is much we can accomplish by working together.”

The TSCRA will allow residents to share resources and experiences locally, and to lobby all levels of government to defend the rights of condo owners.

In an earlier notice for the meeting, Marchese noted that the association might even tackle property-related issues like “poor workmanship, broken promises, expensive legal battles, flooding/mould, soundproofing, and troubles with some board of directors.”

The founding meeting included the election of an executive. In addition, a condo network was established to support residents and boards with local issues. The association is one of the first community groups to name an environmental director.
