November 25th Toronto Centre by-election heating up

From Left to Right: Deverell, Freeland, McQuaig, Pollock

Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced by-elections to fill vacancies in the key Toronto riding, plus one in Quebec and two in Manitoba.
Both parties have star candidates in Toronto to fill the seat vacated by Liberal Bob Rae. Linda McQuaig, a former Toronto Star columnist, is the candidate for the New Democrats while Chrystia Freeland, a Canadian journalist working until now in New York, is a Liberal candidate.  The Tories have nominated lawyer Geoff Pollock. Another ex-Star journalist, John Deverell, is  the Green Party candidate.
