Stephan Caras today announced he will return to the runway to present his FW15 collection on Friday, March 27 at 7 p.m. at World MasterCard® Fashion Week. Caras’ newest collection, RUBI, continues the tradition of celebrating femininity and sensuality but incorporates an edgier glitter rock element.
Perennially inspired by the sensuality and femininity of women, Caras’ vision for FW15 is bold and intrinsically powerful. Vivid reds pop against a black canvas, non-conforming silhouettes and angular treatments emphasize shape, and intricate details create elegance and drama that bring a whole new meaning to glam rock. Composed of luxurious structured suits, voluminous silk taffeta evening wear and cocktail dresses as well as signature jersey Caras gowns, the collection shows exactly what Caras does best.
“The RUBI collection is inspired by women who dress with a touch of drama to demonstrate individuality and the depth of their sensuality,” said designer Stephan Caras. “This bold collection is a fashion forward statement and an ode to the strength of confident women.”
“Our philosophy has always been to create collections that are feminine and sensual. This collection showcases an edgier look that emphasizes angles and sleek shapes. We use fiery red and leather accents with delicate laces and flowing chiffons to achieve the signature Caras balance between elegance and drama,” added co-designer Kyriako Caras.
Caras celebrates femininity by designing each detail of his pieces to enhance a woman’s figure. Structured bustiers, long lines, plunging necklines, bold cut-outs, open backs, exaggerated slits and trailing lengths in black and red add excitement and mystery to the collection.
