St. Lawrence library closes for repair until Nov. 26

The Toronto Public Library’s St. Lawrence branch will be closed from Nov. 14 to 26 to address some necessary repairs.

Over the past year the branch has experienced many small leaks. It has now become a necessity to close for a two week period in order to deal with the repeated damage.

Holds will go to Parliament branch during this time. Materials can be returned to any other branch however as staff will not be in the building, the St. Lawrence branch book drop will be closed.

Thanks to their relationships with the St. Lawrence Community and Recreation Centre, adult and children’s programs will continue at the centre.

  • Baby and toddler story times will continue on their regular days at the regular times in the Multipurpose Room.
  • The book club discussion of The Lifeboat by Charlotte Rogan will continue on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. as planned in the Adult Lounge.
  • Tea and Books presentation of Three Centuries in Chronological Order will continue on Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. in the Youth Lounge. (A special cake will be served to console ourselves for the temporary closure.)
  • Short Story Book Club continues on Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Adult Lounge.
