On Nov. 1, Roy Thomson Hall was the venue for the 21st annual Eat to the Beat that raises funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Guests sampled savoury and sweet dishes offered by 60 female chefs and sipped wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Since its inception, Eat to the Beat has raised more than $3.9 million to help fight breast cancer. Breast cancer survivors, in self-made corsets, strolled through the crowds to add a little sass to the evening’s class.—D.H.
