Online printing prioneer Vistaprint opens store at King & Bathurst

Nearly two decades after it started offering professional marketing products and services online to small business owners, Vistaprint has opened its first ever bricks and mortar retail space in Downtown Toronto at King and Bathurst.

Business owners can now touch and feel products and get face-to-face help by the VP Coaches for a truly seamless experience between the online shop and retail space.

A recent survey of the company’s North American customer base revealed that nearly two-thirds (64%) of business owners want more 1:1 in-person support when designing their new marketing materials.

“We’ve listened to and worked with our customers along the way to provide the best of both worlds in Vistaprint Studio — the efficiency and convenience of the online world with the engaging, personalized experience in-store,” said Trynka Shineman, CEO of Vistaprint. “At Vistaprint Studio we are offering exclusive services you can’t find anywhere else, including free graphic design — services we heard our customers want and which solidify our investment in the success of their businesses, now and in the future.”

Shineman continued, “We are excited to be bringing this new concept to Toronto, a city that’s known to encourage and support the dream of starting your own business.”

In an era where retailers are simply not adapting fast enough to consumer demands, Vistaprint has purposefully designed the retail space as a flexible environment to continuously tailor the experience to the needs of the local business owners. Further, Vistaprint Studio features complimentary real-time one-on-one design services — services business owners would have to pay upwards of $100/hr. for elsewhere. Free shipping to the store and new technologies aimed to empower them further in creating more effective marketing materials such as an interactive touchscreen logo maker are also available.

According to Andrea Armstrong, president of the recently launched clothing brand Happiness Is Inc., the services provided by the new Vistaprint Studio are just what she and thousands of other small business owners have been craving. “We want to be involved in creating our brands, but sometimes we need that additional support and guidance to make our vision become reality,” explained Armstrong.

Vistaprint Studio is located at 720 King St. West and operates six days a week, Monday to Saturday. To help the local business community further, the company will offer unique workshops throughout the year in the Studio.
