Midi Bistro

How could it be possible that I have not dined here before? I attended the former restaurant on many occasions. What a treat to finally dine here. I had heard countless people rave about this intimate charming French restaurant. Shame on me. It was a rainy cold miserable day. Sunday brunch at Midi Bistro certainly raised my spirits

Our charming server was so sweet and attentive. The food was absolutely tantalizing and beautifully plated. I love this place and cannot wait to return for a lunch or dinner.

The brunch menu offers so many variations of Egg Dishes. There are 4 Omelette choices with a variety of tempting flavors. I chose #4. What a large portion! Cheese, red peppers and other vegetables were the filling for a perfectly prepared omelette. There was so much I couldn’t finish it all. The French fries on the plate were hot and crispy. Perfectly prepared. The green salad was made with crisp fresh greens and topped with flavorful vinaigrette. Pieces of fresh fruit completed this wonderful brunch meal. The plate was picture perfect and every bite was fully enjoyed.

I was dining with a cousin. I had a parcel to deliver to her and she had something for me. What could be better than to meet over a delicious brunch? My cousin opted for the Poached Eggs. They were served on an English muffin and included the fries, salad and fruit

Eggs Benedict and many other choices made for a delicious brunch. A Prix-Fixe is available for $15.00. Sweet Potato Soup, a main course and crème brulee are all included. This is a delicious bargain.

I checked out the lunch and dinner menu because I was so impressed with the food and the service. I can’t wait to try the Prix-Fixe Dinner for $25.00 The menu has something for everyone. Several Quiche selections are available at lunch. Tartines are open face sandwiches. The Classic Tuna is prepared with Dijon mayo and pesto with salad or frites. Salads are always a good choice for lunch. The Basque Salad is a composition of prosciutto, tomato, red pepper, green beans and Nicoise olives. The Market Salad offers a combination of goat cheese, tomatoes, green beans, potato, radish and red pepper.

The Bourguignon is a popular choice at dinner. Moules Frites are a classic French dish. There is always a Plat du Jour and a Fish of the Day.

Crème Brule and Chocolate Cake were two of the desserts offered. We didn’t have room on this occasion but I promised myself I would indulge on my next visit. We sat for a long time and never felt rushed. It was all very comfortable, quiet and enjoyable.
