My friend and I were on our way to the Peter Munk Debate. It started at an early hour which necessitated a 5:00 pm dinner. Unheard of. How would I be able to eat anything at that hour?  We were given my favorite table by the fireplace and the fresh Broschetta arrived immediately. I was soon in the mood for a fine dinner no matter the hour. The food here is extraordinary and the presentation is always so inviting. I could have just opted for an appetizer. Antipasto Fieramosca offers a platter of grilled Portobello, zucchini, melanzane, mozzarina and roasted pepper. ($13.00) Gamberi E Carciofi Fieramosca was also appealing. Sautéed shrimps are prepared in a white wine sauce with carciofi in a tomato cream sauce. ($15.00) Cozze Marinara are steamed and served in a tomato sauce. ($13.00)

My favorite lunch dish at Fieramosca is the Insalate di Mare. I salivate when I think of it. Steamed squid, clams, mussels, shrimps, salmon and swordfish are served in a large bowl with cubed potatoes and warm extra virgin oil with lemon. ($17.00) This is a prize winning dish

Pizze makes for a delightful lunch or dinner. The thin crust and tasty toppings are superb. Funghi Pizze is topped with a tomato sauce, mozzarella and mushrooms. ($15.00) A variety of Pasta dishes is always available. My favorite is Spaghetti Alla Mario featuring mixed seafood with ricotta cheese and a creamy pesto sauce. ($16.00) There is so much variety available on the menu. Daily specials are also posted. The only problem is in making a choice.

I amazed myself in finishing my order of Salmone Alla Griglia. ($29.00) I told our server, Giovanni, that I had never tasted salmon so perfectly prepared. It is lightly grilled on a hot pan and then finished in the oven. It was flaky, moist and delicious. I am still raving at the vegetables. Cauliflower, potatoes, green beans and broccoli were lightly flashed in hot water and served hot, still with a crunch. It couldn’t have been any better. The fish was topped with a sprig of thyme and the plate looked picture perfect. Every bite was savored. It was served on a platter that would be sufficient for 2 people. How did I manage to eat all that food? When the food is that good there is no problem. My friend was also ecstatic about her Calamari Griglia. ($24.00)

On another occasion my family enjoyed the Agnello Alla Griglia with seasonal vegetables. ($30.00) The winning dish of Scaloppine Cleopatra is served with sautéed shrimps, mushrooms and a tomato sauce. ($22.00)

I have dined here on many occasions both at lunch and dinner. Always my guests are delighted with the service and the superb cuisine.

In case you wondered, we did manage to share a Tartuffo. ($6.95) It is always tasty and cleansing to the palate. Try and save room for some of the other wonderful desserts.

As always Fieramosca was a gourmet dining experience. I was surprised how many others were dining at this ridiculous early hour. Perhaps it is because the place is full to capacity later in the evening. Do reserve. Once you dine at Fieramosca you will become a devotee.
