Downtown Yonge completes Phase I of streetscape project

Downtown Yonge has completed the first phase of a multi-year streetscape master plan, enhancing the look and feel of the area and improving pedestrian safety and comfort.
Downtown Yonge now has 12 new street light poles, 16 light attachments to traffic poles displaying the Downtown Yonge brand, and 31 multi-purpose pedestrian light poles. Improvements were made in conjunction with partners, Toronto Hydro Energy Services, and the City of Toronto’s Economic Development office.
Phase two will continue the improvement on Yonge Street, from Shuter Street to Dundas Street, in the summer and fall.
