Downtown Toronto Family Day fun at city sites

This Family Day, step back in time and immerse yourself in Toronto’s history!

Several of the City’s Downtown Toronto museums will be open on Feb. 20 offering a variety of unique activities.

Family Day at Fort York
February 20, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Explore the history of Toronto and Fort York. Visit the Fort’s historic kitchen and sample some baking from the hearth. Hot chocolate and a roaring fire will make this a heartwarming and memorable visit. Kids can try an 1812 drill class, Officers’ Sword Drill and some old-fashioned games, as well as a fun-filled kids’ activity book.

Family Day at Mackenzie House
Monday February 20, 12 to 5 p.m.
Performances at 1:30 and 3 p.m.
Scottish Dance troupe, Guthrie School of Dance, will be sharing Scottish Highland and Scottish Country dances and the history and stories that inspired them with visitors of all ages.  Performances at 1:30 and 3 p.m. Included with regular admission to the site.
