On October 21, Margaret’s on Broadview held its fifth annual gala fundraiser at Daniels Spectrum.
Margaret’s is a charity which operates a home and programmes for homeless women suffering from long-term mental disabilities, providing them a safe and caring environment.
They are planning to expand into former TCHC premises in Winchester Park next year, as reported in our July issue.
Again this year the gala was joined by Margaret Trudeau, who became patron of the charity last year. She presented the first-ever Margaret Trudeau Mental Health Advocacy Award to former broadcaster Shelagh Rogers.
