BIA plans logo change, elects director

At the Nov. 3 annual general meeting of the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood BIA at the Novotel Hotel on The Esplanade, many changes were discussed.

The BIA formally declared its intention to merge its logo with that of Old Town Toronto, creating a more cohesive brand throughout the Old Town. The plan does not have the unanimous support of the BIA members however it will aid in the group’s plan to bring Old Town businesses under one banner.

Sarah Spector of Everyday Gourmet was elected to the board to replace the departing Marlene Cook.

The expansion of the hanging flower pot program was discussed, while guest speaker Michelle Senayah spoke on the Laneway Project.
