52 Div bursary fundraiser tonight

The Community Police Liaison Committee is a group of volunteers working in partnership with the Toronto Police Service to be proactive in community relations and to serve as a resource to the police and the community.

The Community Police Liaison Committee of 52 Division is proud to sponsor its fi rst annual fund raising gala in support of local young people.

Our objective is to give a hand up to students who have shown drive and initiative — helping them become the future of Toronto with an opportunity to attend college or university. The goal is to set up a bursary to help students who need a financial kick start for their future. With a little assistance from the community we can help them achieve the dream of a post secondary education.

We invite you to join Chief Bill Blair, Dr. Alok Mukherjee and other honoured guests at our gala dinner October 2, 2006 at Montana’s on John Street. Please join us and our guest speaker at the reception beginning at 6:00 pm, with dinner served at 7:00 pm. The cost is small compared to the opportunity; $100 per person for entertainment, dinner and a silent auction.

If you are unable to join us, please consider donating a product or service that your fi rm can contribute to our silent auction to help make this gala a success.

Please RSVP to: gala52cplc@yahoo.ca or call 416-729-8679 and leave a message on Liz Sauter’s cell phone.

With your help, we as a community can make a difference in the lives of those students who have the ability — but not the means.

Regards,

52 Division CPLC
