Cavalcade of Lights – November 18, 2006

In the spirit of the season, smartliving St. Lawrence is helping the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood Business Improvement Area and Toronto Hydro give away sets of energy-efficient LED seasonal lights. It’s our way of helping participants to save on their electricity bills as well as helping the environment. Area residents are being asked to bring two (2) old strings of incandescent seasonal lights to the Toronto Hydro booth located in the West Mezzanine, St. Lawrence Market to be exchanged for one (1) new string of LED lights.

Volunteers are needed to help out with this event which will also feature local Historian Bruce Bell giving tours of the Market. In particular, we are looking for lead volunteers to help coordinate this event (e.g. manage the set up and take down of the displays, provide guidance to other volunteers, etc.).

  • Setting up and taking down the Toronto Hydro display at the St. Lawrence Market
  • Taking in incandescent seasonal lights and exchanging them for energy-efficient LED lights
