Summer misery for Queens Quay residents

‘I cannot open windows or doors to let some air in after weeks of high temperatures from the noise coming from this deconstruction project.’

How can Councillor Vaughan, who was in integral part of CommunityAIR, an organization dealing with the expansion of the Island Airport and it’s the impact of air pollution, noise, and traffic on the health of Toronto residents can now justify the noisy deconstruction of the Malting Silos in the middle of summer??

The community at Bathurst Quay really contends with enough.  I do not object to future plans for the Silos, but I do object to starting this project in the middle of a scorching hot summer and over the week-ends.  Are we not entitled to some form of peace and enjoyment of our community?  Are we not entitled to maintaining the rights for residents along the Queens Quay?

Trucks barreling down the Queens Quay, instead of using the Lakeshore, at all hours of the day and night, going through stops signs.  Taxi drivers, feeding and farming pigeons, airplane jets and helicopters, garbage truck pickups at 0630am, unions and councillors sucking up all funds, while they have 2 hour lunches along the waterfront down here – this City has no respect for life, it is just simply corrupt.  They celebrate opening up Sugar Beach, while the rest of Toronto Parks and waterfront are a left covered in garbage and maggots.  Money for G20, and development, but they can’t afford to maintain what they have.

How can anyone try and make a living from home when this City just beats you down?  I cannot open windows or doors to let some air in after weeks of high temperatures from the noise coming from this deconstruction project
