The heart of the evening of Dec. 14 at The Kitchen in St. Lawrence Market was the presentation of the 2006 SLNA Volunteer Award Recipients. Edward Nixon officiated as emcee and Coun. Pam McConnell and Ben Marans of smartliving St. Lawrence helped to congratulate the winners.

For 2006 the winners are: Citizen of Old Town Toronto, Cameron Miller; SLNA Award of Merit, Ronny Yaron; Business Recognition Award, Jorge Carvalho; Special Recognition Award, Suzanne Edmonds; and Volunteer Recognition Awards went to, Dennis Glasgow, Stig Harvor, Aurie Hensman and Dan O’Leary.

By their efforts all the recipients have made this Downtown community a better, happier and healthier one.
