Bodybuilder and St. Lawrence Neighbourhood resident Eoin Carroll has taken a major physique competition title and is in line to compete for more honours June 1, at the Metro Convention Centre.

Eoin Works as a Financial Engineer in a Tier 1 Bank Downtown near his condo and is currently involved in a project to introduce a new Fund Settlement System.  His bank job entails running projects to ensure the revenue generating sections of the bank have the applications necessary to create profit.

The competition he won was conducted by  OPA (Ontario Physique Association) Men’s Physique in Stratford.

Eoin has been involved in athletics from an early age, both of his parents being national champions over their preferred distances. Competed at the Junior Irish National Championships as a 100 metre sprinter and went on to compete at National level over the 800 meters. This discipline has been carried over to his career in fitness after the athletics was sidelined due to injury and in order to fully concentrate on academics

Coming out of high school he made the grade requirement to pursue a Bachelors of Science Degree in University College Dublin, graduating with honours. He interviewed and was accepted the following month into a financial consultancy company where he was trained and “sold” to the Toronto-based Big Five bank where he works today as a consultant.

The OPA is a bodybuilding, fitness and physique organization in which Eoin competes as a Men’s Physique competitor. The goal is to bring a balanced, proportionate and aesthetic physique to the stage, it is a more mainstream evolution of the bodybuilding sport.

The OPA Stratford show was a regional qualifier with the top 5 competitors gaining entry for the Provincial level shows which has the best physique athletes in Ontario is attendance, the Provincials will be at the Toronto Pro Supershow in the Metro Convention Centre this June 1st. At the Stratford show Eoin won his Medium height category and went on to win the overall Men’s Physique title.
