Lane Closure – Richmond St. W. from Yonge to Bay – April 18 to July 1

The City of Toronto has announced that Richmond Street West, from Yonge Street to Bay Street, will be reduced to two lanes of traffic from Monday, April 18 to Friday, July 1 to accommodate repairs below the roadway and the rebuilding of the sidewalk on the north side of the street.

During the closure, one lane of the road will be converted to maintain a cycle track and pedestrian area.

Construction will take place 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week to reduce the length of time required to complete the work. The work must be completed by July 1 in order for the City to begin a watermain construction project that will take place immediately following this work.

To assist the flow of the traffic in this area, the City is ensuring that no road work will take place on parallel routes while this work occurs.
