Update May 16, 2016

Vehicular Road Closure RESCHEDULED  Tuesday May 17 & Wednesday, May 18 2016 on The Esplanade from Yonge Street to Scott Street, with a possible extension to Thursday May 19 if required. 

The mobile crane company had an emergency today and were not able to deliver the crane to the site. Work will now commence on Tuesday, May 17. Please check back for updates at http://ltowerconstructioninfo.com/

Crane structure remaining May 16, 2016

The Esplanade will be closed to vehicles from Yonge Street to Scott Street between 7 AM and 7 PM as needed on May 17 & 18 with a possible extension to Thursday May 19 if required.

  • Pedestrian access will remain open to Yonge Street on the south side of The Esplanade. 
  • There may be short term disruptions to pedestrian flow as active crane work occurs. 
  • The City of Toronto has issued a road closure
    permit for this work.

A mobile crane is required to remove the remaining sections of the tower crane. The vehicular road closure is required to permit the mobile crane to be delivered, installed and removed.
