During the event, internationally renowned photographer Edward Burtynsky, along with filmmakers Jennifer Baichwal and Nick de Pencier, will speak about their upcoming multidisciplinary investigation: The Anthropocene Project, which explores the extent of humanity’s impact on the planet.environmental defence galaA rare glimpse of the photography and film project, which is the third of a triology following Manufactured Landscapes and Watermark, will be shown during the event. The projected release date is fall 2018.

WHAT: ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENCE’S Annual Gala is a fundraising event that brings together representatives from industry, arts, labour, government and the charitable sector to celebrate and support Environmental Defence’s work to protect sources of drinking water and local food, reduce Canadians’ exposure to toxic chemicals, and promote a clean economy.
