Don’t let gunfire Downtown fool you: It’s a movie test

Marty Dejczak —

A movie crew moves in, so between 6pm and 11pm Tuesday, Feb. 10, there will be people with (blank-firing) guns and you’ll hear “gunfire” from the blanks. But only a movie test will be shot.

  • York St and Adelaide St.
  • Pearl St between University Ave & Simcoe St.
  • Yonge St at Adelaide St.
  • Yonge St at Richmond St.

Jellystone Films Inc. will be conducting a simulated special effects gunfire test in the above mentioned.

This test will involve firing multiple weapons loaded with blank rounds, this will be closely monitored by a member of the Toronto Police Service Emergency Task Force.

The test will also be monitored by members of the Toronto municipal bylaw department to measure the decibel level of the gunfire at each location.

We will be parking our production vehicles as follows from 7:00pm to 11:00pm:

  • W/s York St from King St to Adelaide St
  • E/s of York St from Adelaide St to Richmond St
  • N/s of Adelaide St from University Ave to Sheppard St N/s of Adelaide St from Yonge St to Victoria St
  • S/s Richmond St from Yonge St to Bay St
  • N or S/s Pearl St from Simcoe St to University Ave

Finally we will be conducting intermittent traffic stoppages (3min max) with the assistance of members of The Toronto Police Service.
