Crime Report: Police warn of potential predator

pcar51 Division officers would like to make the public aware of a potential sex offender operating in the area.
On Oct. 21, 2008, police responded to a call for a suspicious incident. It is reported that on Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, between noon and 1 p.m., two boys, 9 and ten, were playing in the Church Street Public School yard at 83 Alexander St. The boys were near a fence bordering Wood St., when they were approached by a man who engaged them in conversation.
The suspect asked the two boys if they wanted candy and said the candy was in his car. The boys ran from the fence and eventually the suspect left. He is described as having a brown complexion, 5’6” – 5 10”, 16 to 20, bushy−style hair, facial hair and a moustache. He was wearing blue jeans and a black cotton shirt.
Parents are encouraged to talk to their children and report any incidents which appear
