Each summer four long standing friends meet for a reunion and a gourmet dining experience. We have had many hits and a few misses. We all agreed that this was the best dining experience. The Corner House is a delightful old house. The gardens in front are so welcoming. The smaller rooms in the interior make it more informal and give you the sense of dining in a private dwelling. Alex was our handsome server. He was so pleasant and efficient. He truly added to the dining experience.

Corner House has extended the Summerlicious program into August. For $35.00 we were able to enjoy three excellent courses. I should add that Corner House has the most extensive menu of Summerlicious participating restaurants and it is definitely one of the best. The choices are numerous and all so tempting. I have dined here often and the regular menu always offers superb food.

Several of the ladies opted for the Grilled Tiger Shrimps served with a soy-tamarind dressing and Thai vegetable salad. How could this be the appetizer? Four perfectly cooked large shrimp were beautifully plated with a healthy portion of salad. Every bite was magic. One friend chose the Dairy Free Wild mushroom Soup with truffle essence. We could tell it was rich, creamy and apparently beautifully flavored.

We did consider the Mozzarella Di Bufalo with Bosco Farms Heirloom Tomatoes, Santagata olives and basil. The Chilled Moroccan Soup was tempting on a summer evening. We just have to return to try more of those exotic dishes.

Three of the ladies ordered the Handmade Spinach & Ricotta Gnocchi baked in a cherry tomato sauce and enhanced with basil and Buffalo mozzarella. They savored each bite,

My Spaghettini with grilled zucchini, roasted peppers, rapini, olives, chilli and olio provided a great savory treat.

The Grilled Ocean Wise Atlantic Salmon was served nicoise style with a lemon roasted garlic aioli. The Lamb Curry was a popular choice with other patrons. Guaranteed that whatever anyone ate on this evening was a joyful dining experience.

Always save room for dessert. We all enjoyed the Caramelized Lemon Cream Tart with summer raspberries. I wish I had the words to describe that creamy, tarty delicious experience. The crust melted in my mouth. I confess that even thought I was completely satiated I could have eaten another tart right away. We did consider the Triple Chocolate Brownie with vanilla ice cream, walnuts banana and caramel.

There is just one solution. A return visit is imminent. This was a perfect dining experience in every way .This charming quiet little house offers exceptional gourmet dining.
