Cora is inexpensive, fresh and tasty

Indeed there is a real Cora. I would give anything to meet this amazing woman. She started her empire with one restaurant in Quebec. I believe there are now over 100 restaurants. This is a breakfast and lunch spot. Whenever I go to the Carlton Cinema I take advantage of Cora right across the road. This is an amazing restaurant. It is inexpensive. Everything on the menu is fresh and tasty. I can’t believe the amount of fresh fruit served with every portion. The fruit is delicious and there is so much. No wonder the place is always packed. Yet, I never have to wait. It is amazing that it is never noisy. I love this restaurant.

My friend and I go so frequently the beautiful server recognizes us. Myrthin is not only beautiful but so friendly and helpful. She is an aspiring actor and I can’t wait to see her in a major part. She knows I want a Macchiato and is so sweet about taking our orders and bringing the food promptly. My friend and I tend to order the same thing because it is so good and we are in a rush to go to a film. My friend orders the Poached Eggs with fruit and a bagel. The eggs are perfectly prepared. The fresh fruit is enough for 4 people. Bananas, cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew, pineapple. kiwi and grapes were all on the plate. The bagel was fresh and a lot of different jams were offered. I always have the Scrambled Eggs with fruit. The eggs are moist and never overdone. I can’t even finish all the fruit. The multigrain bread was served with a variety of jam.

I have enjoyed an Omelette in the past. The Spinach and Cheddar was my choice. The Theo’s Omelette contains broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, red peppers, green peppers, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, spinach and Cheddar cheese. If you prefer Crepes you can order whole wheat, buckwheat or regular. They are served with bacon, sausages or ham and a mound of fruit.

If you are in a healthy mode and not too hungry the Fruit Crunch will satisfy. A cup of fresh fruit with yogurt is topped with muesli cereal. Tuna Melt, Chicken Melt or Egg Sandwiches are available.

At lunch a Quiche or Hamburger with lots of extras may appeal. The food items are all healthy and the menu is well planned. Apparently Cora even shows up sometimes. Her picture is on the menu and on the wall. What an amazing woman to have developed this successful empire. I always look forward to going there. I always enjoy the food in this down home atmosphere.
