Community improvements for St. Lawrence neighbourhood

City council has recently approved a community improvement plan for the St. Lawrence neighbourhood. The plan is quite comprehensive and is the result of many volunteers working with Kyle Knoeck, senior city planner for the downtown section. Projects are to include streetscapes, street furniture, subway entrance improvement, the Yonge St. underpass revitalization, tree pits and many more.
The SLNA needs volunteers to shadow the various city departments responsible for each project. Pam McConnell has been very helpful and has assured the assistance of her office in seeing that this plan gets implemented. Residents interested in volunteering, may contact the St. Lawrence neighbourhood association at 416-368-2794 or e-mail slna@bellnet.ca
