The city’s perennial battle with the constant accumulation of garbage in the waters of the inner harbour is being waged by Jason Smith, Brad Potter, and Kurt Nielson.

The three waste warriors from Harbourfront are keeping busy cleaning Queen’s Quay Sailing’s boat slips. During the season to date they have pulled out hundreds of condoms, tampons, and dozens of dead pigeons.

Most memorable was the dead pig floating in the Toronto Harbour and the two live seagulls covered in oil, unable to fly. Animal controlled was called in to save the birds.
