Cavalcade of Lights

Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 7:00pm will mark the official start to the holiday season in Toronto with the celebration of the 48th annual Cavalcade of Lights presented by Great Gulf.

Featuring the illumination of Toronto’s official Christmas Tree, performances by some of Canada’s top musical talent, a spectacular fireworks show sponsored by TekSavvy and a DJ skating party at Nathan Phillips Square, the festive event is a long-running holiday tradition in Toronto.

Performers for this year’s event will include jazz and soul vocalist Kellylee Evans, Canada’s most influential trailblazer of hip hop Maestro Fresh Wes, and Juno Award winner and Toronto favourite, Kardinal Offishall.

The first lighting of the official Christmas Tree breathtaking fireworks, a live concert sponsored by Great Gulf featuring critically-acclaimed MC Shad and an open-air skating party will follow, entertaining thousands under the glow of more than 525,000 lights in Nathan Phillips Square.

Skating at the Nathan Phillips Square ice rink continues all season long. Skate rentals are available on site.
