St. James hosts assisted dying lecture Sept. 28

The Cathedral Church of St. James is hosting the opening dialogue in a new series of talks about physician assisted dying on Sept. 28. Led by the Reverend Canon Douglas Graydon and the Reverend Joanne Davies, the event starts with Evensong and Service of Light at 6 p.m., followed by refreshments at 6:30 and a public lecture at 7 p.m. A question and answer session will follow. The event will be a conversation between two highly experienced Anglican chaplains on their experience of palliative care, and perspective on assisted dying in a clinical setting. The ethical, theological, and pastoral implications of Assisted Dying in Ontario will be explored. The cathedral is located at 65 Church St. For more information, click here.
