Blotter: Weekend swarmings plaque 51 Division

A 24 year old female reports that on September 16, 2006 at approximately 4:47 a.m., she was walking in the vicinity of Gerrard Street East and Yonge Street, when two female suspects approached her. The suspects made a demand for her purse and the victim refused. A struggle ensued and one of the suspects grabbed the victim’s purse, punched her in the face causing her to fall to the ground. Both suspects then fled the scene northbound on Yonge Street. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspect #1: Female, black, 20-22 years, 5’6”, medium build, brown eyes, black hair in cornrows with a ponytail to side. Suspect #2:Female, black, 20-22 years, brown hair, short black frizzy hair, medium build.


An 18 year old female reports that on September 16, 2006 at about 3:52 a.m., she was walking in the vicinity of Gould Street and Church Street, when three female suspects approached her. The suspects engaged her in conversation, then removed her purse from her person. The victim managed to make good her escape and the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim sustained no injuries. Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence. Description of Suspects #1-#3: Female, black. No further description is available.
