A coalition of eight community associations will host an all-candidates debate for the Toronto Centre federal by-election from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20th at Jarvis Collegiate Institute, located at 495 Jarvis St., Toronto. Doors open to the public at 6:30 p.m.
Candidates include John Deverell (Green), Chrystia Freeland (Liberal), Linda McQuaig (NDP) and Geoff Pollock (Conservative). The debate will be moderated by broadcaster, radio personality, and self-described recovering politician John Tory (with agreement of all parties).
Toronto Centre covers the heart of Downtown Toronto and is one of Canada’s most diverse ridings. The Toronto Centre By-Election has been described as the one to watch of the four federal by-elections currently underway.
