St. Lawrence and Garden District residents will get a chance to say what they think about residential buildings proposed for their neighbourhoods.
Community council told planning staff to organize community consultation meetings for a 34-storey, mixed-use building at 75 The Esplanade near Church and a 13-storey residential building for 307 Sherbourne at Gerrard.
Oct. 27 has been set for The Esplanade meeting, but a location hadn’t been determined by The Bulletin’s deadline. No date had been set for the Sherbourne meeting. Both proposals require zoning amendments.
The Esplanade project, a condominium, would have street-level retail with 350 residential units above. Of that 210 would be 1-bedroom, 116 would be 2-bedrooms and 24 would-be 3-plus bedrooms.
The Sherbourne building would have 94 rental units of which 57 would be 1-bedroom, 32 would be 2-bedroom and 5 would be 3-plus bedrooms. There would be 43 parking spaces on two underground levels along with 96 bicycle spaces.
