On Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at 7 a.m., 52 Division’s Traffic Response Unit officers will run
“Operation: Keep It Moving Toronto” at the corner of York Street/Adelaide Street West.
Special attention will be paid to no−stopping zones, gridlock and other traffic offences that hinder the free flow of traffic. This will be a joint operation involving members of the 52 Division Traffic, Community and Primary Response Units as well as Parking Enforcement
Officers and Municipal By−Law Enforcement Officers. A tag−and−tow policy will be utilized
during this zero−tolerance initiative that focuses on rush−hour routes.
The Toronto Police Service and their partners remind all motorists, including delivery services,
not to stop in no−stopping zones, especially during the morning and afternoon rush hours.
The operation will run between 7 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. This
initiative will be repeated during 2013.
Further information about this campaign is available from Sergeant Brian Maslowski at 416−808−5268 or 416−432−5011, or via email at 52traffic@torontopolice.on.ca.
