The Esplanade youth Movement is an organization that works to help assist and educate the community on the struggles and challenges the youth face by raising awareness in the community through workshops and community events.
The Esplanade Youth Movement and the Toronto Police Service host the inaugural basketball tournament on Sunday, July13th, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
On Sunday, July 13, 2014, between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., The Esplanade Youth Movement, along with the Toronto Police Service ( 51 Division) will host the 2nd Annual, 5 on 5 “Get Involved” basketball tournament at Berkley Street and The Esplanade outdoor facility.
The event will give at−risk youth from The Esplanade, Regent Park and Bleecker Street community to participate with Toronto Police Service members during various activities, and the main 5 on 5 basketball game.
In attendance will be approximately 400 priority youth, Toronto Fire Services, community partners, sponsors, and various guest speakers’ prizes and giveaways.
