Mark your calendars for two very different events at St. Lawrence Branch, Toronto Public Library.

Great Books Lecture on Tuesday May 24 at 7pm: U of T Prof Alan Ackerman will talk about Edith Wharton’s 1905 novel House of Mirth, a classic work that exemplifies excessive consumption.

Bike Day at the Library on Saturday, June 4, 1-5 pm. Presented by Ward 28 Cycle Toronto. Participating organizations: Cycle Toronto, Charlie’s Freewheels, bikeSauce, Can Bike and Toronto Public Health. Spring tune-ups, advice and demos on subjects like fixing a flat tire and how to use tools. Fun and informative videos from Can Bike playing in the library.
