Man wanted in Wellesley/Sherbourne sexual assault investigation

 

The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance identifying and locating a man wanted in a Sexual Assault investigation.

On Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at approximately 2 a.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Wellesley Street East and Sherbourne Street area.

It is reported that:

– a 30-year-old woman, a sex-trade worker, met a man in the area
– they walked to a parking lot
– the man produced a knife and forced the woman into a nearby alleyway
– he sexually assaulted her
– she was able to escape and call police

He is described as black, 5’7″-5’8″, slim build, 28-34, with bad teeth. He was wearing a navy-blue hoodie, navy-blue baseball cap and black shoes.

If he is located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately. Police believe him to be violent and dangerous. He may be armed with a knife.
