Biz: Mark's marks Leslieville opening with clothing drive

Print this story

Mark's Work Wearhouse will launch its Clothes That Work for the Community charitable clothing drive to support United Way of Greater Toronto during the new Leslie and Lakeshore store's grand opening weekend Nov. 1-4.

The Clothes That Work for the Community campaign was initiated as a way for Mark‚'s consumers to easily help those in need within their own community prior to the holidays through the donation of gently used clothing. Mark's has developed a black recyclable tote bag that will be delivered to 20,000 households in the vicinity, encouraging them to make a selfless donation that will benefit those in need of warm winter clothing.

Clothes That Work for the Community is Mark's local charitable effort to benefit United Way agencies in the vicinity of the new Leslie Lakeshore store. Simply place your gently used clothing in your Mark‚s tote bag and leave the clothes in the receptacle at the new store. Your clothing will then be donated to a local United Way of Greater Toronto member agency.

The new store will be located at 1015 Lakeshore Blvd E., Unit 5. As a thank you, Mark's will offer consumers 20% off their own men's and ladies winter shopping purchase on opening weekend.
