Cabbagetown Air Monitoring Walk July 26

The Toronto Environmental Alliance (TEA) will host its first Air Tracking Community Walk in Cabbagetown this afternoon! TEA’s INHALE Project is gathering and mapping data on air pollution in Toronto’s downtown core. Our goal is to use this data to spark community conversations about how we can improve Toronto’s air quality.

Using mobile, hand held air particulate monitoring equipment, join us for a hands on experience in collecting real-time air pollution data throughout Cabbagetown. Leaving directly from our table at the the Cabbagetown Farmers’ Market, we will be taking two 15 minute walks at both 3:00 and 4:00pm throughout Cabbagetown, and monitoring air quality in real time while we pass local landmarks!

Let us know you are coming by RSVPing using the form here.

If you have any questions or inquiries, please email us at inhale@torontoenvironment.org. You can also sign up here to volunteer as a Community Air Tracker with the project.

Walkers will gather on July 26th, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Riverdale Park East (Cabbagetown Farmers’ Market) located at 201 Winchester St. Get Google map and directions.

In the event of rain, this event will be cancelled.
